Working in the landscape often creates a dynamic interplay between my presence and absence as I shift through varying degrees of both. In this more delicate state of being, I feel lighter, less defined—almost intermittent. In that emptiness, with memory momentarily suspended, I merge with the surroundings in a fleeting union, effortless and ephemeral, like the lingering imprint of an image after closing my eyes.
